4. Job Summary:
The Field Service Technician will be primarily responsible for completing the work order provided by the Sales Manager. The Field Service Technician will communicate with the Field Service Coordinator to receive all the schedules and travel arrangements. The Field Service Technician will also make sure all the work that has been assigned will be complete on time. This position is located at our Houston Office but most of the work will be done onsite.
5. Travel Requirements:
This position may require travel domestically and internationally to support the company’s goals and objectives. This is expected to be approx 90%
6. Job Responsibilities:
- Communicate with the Service Manager to receive the work order
- Research and prepare all parts that needs to be carried to the worksite
- Receive ship’s schedule and travel arrangement from the Field Service Coordinator.
- Diagnose the problem upon arrival on work site, stay close communication with the representative, recognize troubleshooting.
- Read and understand machinery drawings, diagram.
- Prepares reports attended on jobs as per present. Ensure all documentations are submitted in a timely manner after the work has been completed.
- Notify the manufacturer of the product and the company CEO of any incidents and prepare an incident report immediately.
- To be up-to-date with and to implement internal technical modifications and information
7. Requirements and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1-2 years of previous experience in Marine Industry
• Must be eligible to obtain TWIC Card
• Basic knowledge of the Electric/Electronic/Mechanical
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Able to be flexible in intensive traveling via car, train, plane, launch boat, and in changing plans to comply with professional circumstances.
