Job Title: Technical Marketing Manager

POSCO established office in Houston since 2011, in order to develop steel market in North & Central America. Especially POSCO Houston office has been mainly dedicated to Oil & Gas industrial demand for quality steel. As such, the scope of work of Houston office is not limited to address to steel fabricator but also project developer from the early stage.  Houston office is also collaborating with a few branches of POSCO affiliates and trading house company located in Houston.

Objective 

POSCO is looking for a full-time Technical Marketing manager for making business of energy steel at our regional office in Houston, TX.  Listed below is a detailed description of the jobs for this position. Job Description

• Support technical response to customers such as oil majors and EPC company for pre marketing of energy steel which is supplied for oil and gas industry
• Technical Service for fabricator or distributor as customers
• Development of clients in North and Central America for steel sales
• Searching for business opportunities for Oil & Gas or steel industry in North and Central America
• Handling the inquiry from client technically. Documentation for technical requirements, and AR included
• Analyze and summarize specification code and regulation
• Gathering market trends and data, Market analysis and forecast, and Project searching on a regular basis
• Etc. : 

- Preparation to participate in the international conferences or promotion activities  

- Facilitation of commuting of the occasional visitors from POSCO

  eg. Riding from/to airport, meeting venue, accommodation facilities, etc 

- Participation of POSCO global volunteering program quarterly

Qualifications

• Master Degree in Material Science/Engineering
• Bilingual in Korean and English 
• Proficient in computer skills
• Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Strong communication skills & customer service oriented

Salary Range: Negotiable / Based on qualification and work experience
